Never use your fingers to clean sharp tools, blades or saws. Turn off equipment and use only approved recommended devices for unjamming equipment or retrieving objects stuck in machinery. Make sure you return all tools and equipment to their proper storage areas. Stay clear of loads being moved by mechanical equipment. When lifted or lowering loads, watch your hands and fingers that they don’t get caught or crushed. It’s Summer & Time To Plant Those Flowers
Gardening experts say that perennials, flowers that bloom year after year, are ideal for gardeners who want low-maintenance flowerbeds and a long season of colors and blooms. Purchase plants that will thrive in your area by asking gardening centers if a particular perennial is within your “hardiness zone.”
Conduct a soil test, using a home kit or calling on a landscaper. In the fall, examine the plants to determine if it’s necessary to divide crowded clumps of plants. Popular perennials include:
*Asters *Dahlias *Mums *Candy Turf *Delphiniums *Peonies *Carnations *Lilies |
